DSS Neutrogena Scholarship
The Dermatology Society of Singapore (DSS) is dedicated to promoting the highest quality of dermatologic care through continuing medical education and research. The DSS is proud to announce that through a generous contribution by Johnson & Johnson Pte Ltd Singapore, DSS has created a scholarship called the Neutrogena-DSS Scholarship Program for Dermatology Trainees. The program was established to promote education of dermatology trainees by providing an education grant for them to attend the Annual Academy of Dermatology Meeting.
The following criteria have been established for the scholarship application:
1. All dermatology trainees can apply for the grant.
2. Priority will be given to advanced trainees who will be presenting papers or posters at the meeting.
3. Other criteria for selection will include contributions to the Society. For example, giving talks or presenting papers at DSS meetings and attendance at DSS events.
4. All applicants shall not receive more than ONE award during his/her traineeship period.
5. All additional funds applied for/received by the applicants of the Education Grant must be disclosed on the application form and any funds subsequently received must be disclosed.
The Society will open applications for the Education Grant six months before the Annual AAD Meeting, and close applications 4 months before the AAD meeting. Applicants will be notified of the results of their application within 4 weeks after the closing date. DSS EXCO will review all applicants and select the beneficiaries of the education grant based on the criteria stated above.
